*****spoiler alert*****

Se7en has got to be one of the most interesting movies I have ever seen. It’s execution is pure genius and sends the chills of society’s flaws crawling down your spine with every second of suspense, intrigue, and horror. What interest’s me the most; however, is John Doe’s (Kevin Spacey) monologue regarding his mission… the statement he is making for the dark, abysmal world to puzzle over.

The most frightening part about it is that Spacey’s character’s outlook is somewhat valid and it parallels a discussion Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt’s characters have throughout the movie. The world is full of horror and corruption and the world just turns a blind eye. We are all guilty of apathy in some way, shape or form (and don’t even think about denying it).

I like to look at they sunny side… but watch this and tell me it’s not totally logical. The murderous prick has a point.
